Some folks have been wondering what is going on for us in 2015, and the answer is a lot! Bill is hard at work on the Drakan and Greg will be working on his racing license along with a car change from his Elise. As such we will not be hosting any of our own events until possibly the fall or worst case 2016. We will still be available for hire for any client wishing to host white label or joint events.
Registration is now open for our final event of the year at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on Monday, October 13, 2014 with Aston Martin of New England / Lotus Motorsports, Inc., William Thomas Roadsters and Sector111. Enjoy over 2 hours of track time per run group! Run groups will be divided up based on experience and performance characteristics of participant's cars to ensure a great experience for all attendees
We are quite happy to announce that our first event of 2014 will be on June 2nd at NJMP. We are also planning two more events for 2014 and should have the dates announced within the next few weeks. We hope you will be able to join us for our second season!
Following our second event at New Jersey Motorsport Park it was quite a whirlwind of non-track related actual work. It's always a bit harder to come back from an event to get back into the office. Once again we lucked out with the weather and had a perfect day. Everyone had a great time on track, with over 2 hours of track time for each run group plus a few classes for each HPDE student group let by Pete Tremper from NJMP. By the time I was able to take a very few pictures, it was late in the day. Our fifth session was quite empty with just two cars on track at the end. Since I was one of the two, I can happily report it was quite an interesting and relaxing experience being out on a track by yourself. Turn 1 though during a sun set results in driving right into the sun. This makes the blind track out even more exciting when at the crest you still can't see the exit until you start descending the hill. It was quite interesting to say the least! Next season we will be back with a few more events. We're back from our first event at New Jersey Motorsport Park and had a fantastic time. Weather was a bit warm but fortunately it stayed dry all day. Attendees were split into two groups, one solo / instructor and the other an instructed group. Every driver in the combined novice (hpde.1) and intermediate (hpde.2) group was assigned an instructor. Unlike every other event to date, our instructors were all familiar with driving momentum cars. Judging by the instructor evaluations it look like the idea paid off. The only issue of the day was blown oil line in a solo student's Exige, which resulted in some oil on track. Fortunately beyond some oil dry having to have been used, it was only a minor issue and no damage was done to the car. By the end of the day with two hours on track, everyone was quite tired and seemed to have really enjoyed it. It was great seeing everyone out on track together with lots of point-byes, some great driving by our attendees and everyone enjoying themselves. It certainly was one of my favorite days on track as a result of the great group we had attending. We are already working on a date for a fall event in September.
